This members group is a pairs friendly competition who  meets on Thursday at 11:00.

Results: Team-->> Marjorie and Lou Fougere with Paula and Ken MacDonald exceeded their target by 4.5 on the front and 5.5 points on the back to win both contests.

Team--> Karen Parsons, David Dean, Brian and Andrea MacDougall finished second on the front and back nine

Thursday July 25

We welcomed John and CoraLee Pino and Bonnie Hayes

Under ideal conditions, Ron and Elaine with David Dean and Elaine Allison won both the front (plus 9) and back (plus 6). Ron Rankins total of 7 strokes over target was the individual highlight of the day

Team Rob and Barb Stokes and Ken and Paula MacDonald (plus 5) finished 2nd on the front while the threesome of Lou Fougere, Roy Mercer and Bonnie Hayes were 2nd place finishers on the back (plus 5)

Closest to the pin: Davide Dean (6), Elaine Allison (8), Bonnie Hayes (14) and Rob Stokes (17)

Thursday Aug 1

Ideal conditions

Ron and Elaine Rankin teamed with David Dean and Karen Parsons to establish a record on the Front of 8 over target to win 1st place and also placed 2nd on the back nine (plus 4)

The Dream Team of Roy Mercer, Beth Gillis and John and CoraLee Pino set a blazing pace with a Target Shooters record of 12 over target on the back and placed 2nd on the front with plus 5.5 points.

Closest to the pin winners were Roy Mercer (6), Karen MacNeil (8), Karen Parsons (14)  and Ron Rankin (17)

The STAR of the day was CoraLee Pino with a superb 8 over her Target!!

Karen Parsons (6.5), Beth Gillis (5.5) and Ron Rankin (5.5) also scored exceptionally well above their targets! Congrats!

Thursday Aug 15

The cart path only protocol with the wet terrain kept the scoring much closer to Targets this week.

The team Roy and Sheila Mercer with Ken and Paula MacDonald with a score 1.5 above their Target won the Front 9, while Ron and Elaine Rankin teamed with Rob and Barb Stokes to score 1.5 above their Target on the Back to edge out their victory.

Closest to the Pin winners were Lou Fougere (60), Elaine Rankin (8), Karen Parsons

(14), and John Pino (17).

The STAR of the day was Elaine Rankin with her birdie on #8 after hitting the pin on her tee shot!!!

Week 13 Aug 22

Once again, a beautiful day greeted the Target shooters.

The team of Ron and Elaine Rankin with John and Coralee Pino dominated the scoresheet  winning both the Front and Back nines.  The winning scores were plus 3.5 and plus 2 above target.

Marjorie Fougere, John Coady and Rob and Barb Stokes finished 2nd on the Front, while David Dean, Karen Parsons and Ken and Paula MacDonald were runner ups on the Back.

Closest to the Pin winners were David Dean (6), Elaine Rankin (8), Brenda MacKellar (14) and Rob Stokes ( 17).

The STARS of the day were the Rankins winning both games as well as the Special Prize for 2 green fees at the Antigonish Course for their perfect attendance at our events!!! Special thanks to Bell Bay for this Prize!!

week 14 August 29

A different summer day greeted the Target Shooters. Preparing us for the fall.

The team of Roy and Sheila Mercer teamed with Ron and Elaine Rankin to dominate the score sheet winning both the front and Back nines.  The winning scores were plus 5 and plus 4 above target.  

John and Cora Lee Pino and Ken and Paula MacDonald finished 2nd on the Front, while Bob and Shelley MacDonald with Brenda MacKellar and the Commish were runner ups on the Back.

Closest to the Pin winners were Bob MacDonald (6), Elaine Rankin (8), Shelley MacDonald (14) and John Pino (17).

The STARS of the day were the Mercers winning both games as well as the Special Prize for 2 green fees at Lingan for their attendance at our events!! Special thanks to Bell Bay for this prize!!

The Rankins continued their year long torrid pace in supporting the Mercers and won the honorable mention pairing. 

John Pino's Eagle on #9 will go down in history as our 1st Eagle!!

15 th week September 12

A great summer day greeted the Target Shooters! The team of Roy and Sheila Mercer teamed with Brenda MacKellar and JT to record a plus 9 over target to win the Front, while Ron and Elaine Rankin kept their winning streak alive with teammates Lou and Marjorie to narrowly beat the above foursome on the Back.

Closest to the Pin winners:  Elaine Rankin and Brenda MacKellar tied on #8 with the Comish edging out the Champ by inches on #17!!

The STAR of the day was Roy Mercer for his outstanding play on the Front (4 strokes above Target) and was honoured for his HOLE In ONE on the previous day!

16th week September 19

Another beautiful summer day to conclude our first season.

Bob and Shelley MacDonald and Ron and Elaine Ranking were first place on the Front, while Ken and Paula MacDonald teamed with Barb Stokes and Beth Gillis to win the Back, as well as finishing 2nd on the Front.

Closest to the Pin winners were Ken MacDonald (6) Beth Gillis (8) Brenda MacKellar

(14) and Bob MacDonald (17)

The STAR of the day was Ken MacDonald for placing 1st on the Front and 2nd on the Back and closest to the Pin on #6.

We will be sending out a questionnaire shortly.  We appreciate your feedback that will allow us to improve our event and move from Good to Great.
